Session I: “Meeting the Cast” top
Session I will focus on getting to know the delegates. It is important to learn where delegates are coming from when they voice their opinions and thoughts to the group. The second focus will be about discovering the different facets of Filipino. This is beneficial for delegates who are attending their first FIND Dialogue and may not know all the different topics that relate to Filipino culture, history, and concerns. It is also beneficial for those, knowledgeable on the different facets of Filipino, to discover topics that may not be as well known to the general delegate populace.
The objectives for this session are:
· To recognize the uniqueness of the delegates as actors
· To explore the spectrum of knowledge relating to Filipino culture
Session II: “Finding the Script” top
Session II will focus on delegates learning about what resources are available to them. By discussing this issue with students from other schools, delegates will be able to learn about resources that they may not have known were available or learn about ways other organizations and students used their resources to suit their needs. These resourceful organizations and students will form a supportive and collaborative relationship with organizations seeking assistance. In the end, delegates should begin brainstorming ways to utilize resources at their respective schools in order to provide a program to their community or to improve a program.
The objectives for this session are:
·
To discover available resources
· To discuss how to effectively use your available resources
Session III: “The Rehearsal” top
At this point, the delegates have heard a great deal of different topics of Filipino culture that they can bring to their school if they have not already done so: they have seen that each person is different in terms of what they know or want to know, and where their interests lie. They have participated in discussions about resources they may not have known were available to them and how other schools have utilized these resources for their own program. Given the diversity of audiences, delegates should be able to put together an effective program that caters to any given audience about a topic in Filipino culture. This session is their chance to prove it.
The objectives of this session are:
· To apply the knowledge that was attained from previous sessions into action
· To promote collaboration of organizations and their broader communities
