For the 2008 Spring Conference, the FIND, Inc. National Directors envision Unmask: challenging delegates to question, learn, and act toward revealing what is beneath the surface of the Filipino and Filipino American identity, perception, and take responsibility to educate others. To unmask is to expose the true character or hidden truth. In hopes to support the 2007 Fall Dialogue, Pagtuturo, and District VII's Advancing Filipino American Studies program, the National Directors hope to inspire delegates to unmask and take action.

Background
Since 1992, the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, Inc. has empowered college students by advocating Filipino and Filipino American identity, culture, and issues. The next era of FIND, Inc. will better utilize the network, its resources, and the many leaders within FIND, Inc. by providing college students and organizations with a continuous, concrete, and credible education support program. FIND, Inc. is working towards the implementation of the Advancing Filipino American Studies (AFAS) program, which will encourage organizations to provide monthly educational programs pertaining to the Philippines or Filipino America. AFAS will redefine FIND, Inc. leaders to see themselves as educators.

AFAS supports Filipino and Filipino American studies by establishing monthly themes. These themes include identity, history, culture, entertainment and arts, activism, and outreach. FIND, Inc. 2008 Spring Conference, Unmask, will introduce delegates to several facets related to Filipinos and Filipino Americans. With the knowledge gained at Unmask, delegates will be charged with the responsibility to share this knowledge with others to unmask preconceived notions of Filipinos, Filipino Americans, the Philippines, and Filipino America. FIND, Inc. 2008 Spring Conference will ultimately lift marginalized experiences of Filipinos and Filipino Americans.
